DJ Weatherman

The Weatherman started his involvement in dj-ing at a friends party choosing records for the dj, he got offered the chance to ‘have a go’ and was promptly told he was a natural and should consider taking it further.

11 years on and The Weatherman has an impressive CV which has gigs that have let him play with some of the top flight djs like Ferry Corsten, Jon Langford (Knuckleheads), Cliff Lay (Maison), and many more…. plus he has his regular Saturday night / Sunday morning radio show on Fire 107.6 FM (www.fireradio.co.uk)

FIRE 107.6FM

The Weatherman joined Fire 107.6 FM (www.fire1076.com) at the very start (originally NRG) through his involvement with Kevin Scott. But it wasn’t until 1999 that he got offered his own outright show.

Originally he started playing Funky deep and progressive house along with intelligent drum & bass as his show went out 4 till 6am on Sunday mornings. But the move to 2 till 4 am after a few months meant he could develop his own sound of Deep & Dirty House which in turn has lead him to Filthy Underground House & Techno.

After meeting Kevin Scott in ‘97 The Weatherman had the opportunity to do warm-ups at many of Bournemouths night clubs with Kevin. These included Hot ‘n’ Horny at the Opera House, Bumbles on a Friday and Saturday night, Liquids bar, and later the successful Saturday night at the Voodoo Lounge ‘WICKED’.

Wicked

At these events he became a competent Lighting jock and Stage Manager which lead him to being one of the main king-pins in the radio’s first birthday party at the Pavilion, Bournemouth. These events have helped to give a better understanding of the whole entertainment industry and how it works.

Working with Kevin lead The Weatherman to different nights in areas of the country away from Bournemouth, one such night was BREED in Chippenham. The Weatherman being the resident warm-up dj had the privilege to work with some of the topflight djs and to develop a sound separate from his peers.

Breed

The Weatherman is currently working on getting more gigs outside of Bournemouth. A couple of years ago he also ventured into running his own night FILTHY which linked him with London club night AUDIO DELUXE & THERAPY. The link with AUDIO DELUXE lead him into doing the warm-up set for LA Dj Kazell.

Filthy

As well as his dj commitments he is currently setting up his own studio venture which should see some tracks from him.
